App: Phineas Tyler

Name: Phineas Tyler- Phin- phin_tyler (amethyst-rpg at GJ)
For: TBD

Again, just basic personality and weaknesses and info

Name: Phineas Tyler though he'll sometime just go by Phin

Age: 14

Year: 4th

House: Slytherin

Blood: muggle born or half

PB: Young (Tom and Huck era) Brad Renfro

Phineas is really a paradox of sorts. While he's generally aloof and abrasive, it's desperately important for him to be liked and despite the air of independence that he often has, Phin is completely dependent on others. He's typically a loner; being constantly surrounded by people in his childhood has led him to particularly value his alone time. Rather counter intuitively, crowds tend to intimidate him and he’s not particularly good at dealing with people.　He has a tendency to be rude and callous when first meeting people- and truthfully, all of the time- but he doesn't really mean anything by it; if anything, he's surprised that sometimes what he says can hurt or offend people- or cause someone to literally hurt him. When one gets to know him, one will realize that that is just how he treats people but he rarely means any harm.

When one befriends him- or more accurately, he decides to like someone- he can be almost bipolar in his behavior. One minute he'll be clingy and needy and the next, he'll be embarrassed by his behavior and avoid said person. He's very possessive of his friends though and he tends to feel uncomfortable when they hang out with people he had yet to befriend. But in the same sense, he's unconditionally loyal to the point of foolishness and he’ll do anything to protect his friends.

To add to the contradictions, he somehow manages to be both cynical and idealistic. Despite making too many pessimistic assertions, he does really believe that things can change for the better and that good triumphs over evil and other such things. Despite being associated with the "evil" house, he'd never try anything underhanded and fully believes that you have to work- honest work, mind you- to get ahead. He frowns on such people who use their name or wealth to get somewhere in life so in some sense, he's happy that he's from a unimportant middle class family so he knows that his accomplishments are his own. But like any good snake, he’s very ambitious and driven.

Weaknesses
-very insecure. Despite how he often tries to come across, he has very little confidence, and he's horribly sensitive about things so he’ll often take something the wrong way and angst about it for days
-clingy. He's very dependent on people and he has to be liked. It wouldn't be unheard of for him to let himself be used if he knows that it will get someone to like him. Hypocritical perhaps but that’s the way he works
-Rude. One would assume that given the whole 'zomg, like me please' thing he's got going on, he'd be a suck-up or just, you know, NICE, but that's not the case. At all. Instead he seems to try and push people away by being insulting

More later

Name: Adele Renard

House: Gryffindor

Year: 6th

Age: 16

Alignment: pro-Voldemort

Blood: half but thinks she's pure

If one had to describe Adele in one word, said word would most likely be high maintenance. She's one of those girls who take hours to get ready in attempt to make sure she looks immaculate- though the truth of the matter is, she doesn't really get fashion. She's generally just a perfectionist; everything has to be just right or else she very well may throw a fit. She's rather phobic of germs so everything in her vicinity needs to be spotless and orderly. While she really isn't arrogant, she has a tendency to act condescending and holier-than-thou. She can be rather prissy and come across as overly serious or snobby.

In all honestly, she seems like an odd candidate for Gryffindor. She lacks the empathy for others and the noble streak that most lions possess. Things that don't directly concern her are of little interest to Adele so the thought of helping others out of the goodness of her heart is an absurd one. She was as surprised as anyone when she landed in Gryffindor rather than Slytherin as she had expected. Of course, she would have made a horrible Snake, mainly as she lacks anything resembling ambition and while she can be ruthless, she's certainly not cunning. She's neither clever nor curious, making her decidedly not a Claw, and while she's loyal, she's not hard working in the least and rather, she’s exceptionally lazy. Upon further scrutiny of her, one can find some Gryffindor. Like any good Lion, she's not afraid to defend her believes or fight for what she thinks is right. The flaw, of course, is that her beliefs and morals are rather superficial and skewered and really, there isn’t too much that she believes in.

Despite appearances, she doesn't really care what people think of her; she won't go out of her way to try and be liked, and if someone finds her strange or boring or stupid or what not then so be it. She has a wry sense of humor, and things that others don't find particularly humorous often amuse her. She's rather fond of lying, just to test how much she can get away with. She has been known to saw something completely outrageous, while somehow managing to keep a straight face, to those who are gullible enough to believe her.

Weaknesses:
-Lazy. Adele has no work ethic. At all. She only does what she has to and even then, she does the bare minimum
-not very bright. Particularly academically, she's just not all of that intelligent. Of course, that may have something to do with the fact that she doesn’t try. She has a bit more people smarts but even there she’s slightly sub par.
-Vindictive. Forgive and forget? Never. Adele will remember everything little thing so one has done to her, and she will never completely forgive someone. And if someone does something she considers particularly low? Then he or she is out of her life forever without a second thought and she won't hesitate to be as cruel as she can manage. Granted, given her rather low intelligence level, she isn’t quite smart enough to do something really malicious but still.

RP App- Lucas

Name: Lucas Cox AKA SCARY CHILD OF EVIL AND DOOM
From: N/A

Name (of character): Lucas Cox

House: Slytherin

Year: 2rd

Appearance: He’s a deceptively innocent looking boy, with big, blue eyes and shock of blond hair. He stands just under 5’, weighing in at about 100 pounds. He has full lips that turn down at the edges into a perpetual frown but he’s quick to fake a smile. He has a round, boyish face and fair skinned and he still retains a child’s build. He’s slender, almost scrawny, with a thin neck and narrow shoulders and torso. He doesn’t have a particular dress style; he’s too young for things like that to matter to him. He’ll wear almost anything as long as it’s comfortable and clean.

Personality: Despite his young age, Lucas is not someone one would want to mess with. He’s a horribly manipulative child and is shown for using his appearance to get what he wants. He’s mastered the art of faking emotions and he’s quite good at fake crying or playing the part of a sweet, adorable boy. Most people would never suspect him to be anything other than innocent. At first glance, he appears thoroughly pleasant, affectionate, and sensitive. In reality, he’s far from it.

Lucas is rather impassive and he rarely shows him real emotions. He’s grown out of his childhood aggression and now, it takes a good deal to anger him because he thinks petty insults directed at him are just because of jealousy; he’s a horribly arrogant child and he truly believes that he’s better than everyone else. If he does anger though, it’s not a pretty sight. He can be violent and vindictive if someone gets on his bad side and it’s best for that person to watch out.

He is one of the people who view emotions as weakness and he has been bred to rise above his own. He's rather fascinated with emotions though and he often toys with people to force them to display a certain feeling. The boy can be rather two faced and faking an emotion isn't really beyond him. If he wants something from you, he can be incredibly charming and lovable.

He's rather difficult to please but once he latches on to something, he can become rather obsessive in an almost predatory way. He likes getting what he wants and he'll do whatever it takes to get it and very little is beyond him. He's possessive and easily jealous and he turns envious rather quickly if someone has something he can't have.

He becomes bored rather easily so he’s quick to turn to new sources of amusement. Unfortunately, the things that amuse him aren’t very pleasant. He adores deceiving people and he treats those he knows as living toys; he’ll often test himself by seeing how many people he can con- or hurt, depending on his mood. In addition, he’ll do whatever he can to find a person’s weakness and then he’ll exploit it. He’s rather sadistic but, because of his young age, there’s isn’t too much he can do physically to a person; he’s rather weak both physically and magically. Instead, he turns to animals.

He's cunning and manipulative and rather single minded when it comes to achieving his goals. He’s rather competitive and he’s a horrible loser. He rarely obeys rules unless he feels he has to for he believes himself to be above said rules. He's incredibly selfish and only his needs matter. In his nearly 13 years of living, he has never really cared about anyone else and that’s not likely to change with age. He has an obsession with power, and he always has to be in control of a situation. Even if he’s curled up in someone’s lap crying about how he was bullied, he still feels that he has the upper hand because he’s forced someone to believe that he’s actually hurt. Of course, this isn’t usually the case. He still doesn’t quite understand how people really function so he can’t comprehend the fact that he is never truly in control over someone.

He's a perfectionist and absolutely everything has to be perfectly flawless. He cannot tolerate disorder of any kind either. He's fairly intelligent and perceptive for his age but he's not the quickest of thinkers. The unexpected tends to throw him off guard and it's harder for him to react and therefore, surprises bother him. He has a good memory and can remember little details about a person, which he stores away for later use. He has never actually felt anything for anyone and he's almost curious to see if he can. He's completely guiltless and feels little to no remorse for his actions.

History: He was born on October 25th into a wealthy wizarding family in Cambridge, England and was an only child for the first 8 years of his life. He grew up getting whatever he wanted and constantly hearing that he's the best. It really isn't surprising that he has an inflated head. Still, there was always something slightly off about the child that his parents could never quite put their finger on. One of his oddest childhood quirks was his fondness for dolls. For most of his life, he had a rather large doll collection but to his parents, it seemed innocent enough so nothing was ever done about it. As with most everything concerning Lucas, this wasn’t entirely true. He chose to collect dolls because they were, essentially, perfect. The problem was, nothing is ever really perfect. Upon discovering some small, tiny flaw in one of his toys, he would choose to “kill” it. This involved slowly disfiguring, breaking, and marring the doll until it was unrecognizable and once he was satisfied; he would discard it and demand a new toy. His parents never knew what he did to his things behind closed doors.

As previously mentioned, when he was 8, his sister, Hannah, was born. Seeing as she was still a baby, she received far more attention. He never really understood that it was because she, unlike him, couldn’t take care of herself. All he knew was that his parents doted on the girl and no longer paid as much attention to him. Needless to say, he became incredibly jealous and he tried to smother his baby sister. Luckily for the girl, his mother walked in to stop him but upon being confronted, Lucas only burst into tears and claimed that it was an accident. While his parents believed him, it was then that they became slightly wary of him and needless to say, he wasn’t left alone with Hannah after that. Still, ever since she was born, he bullied her, this time careful to avoid detection.

The next hint of mental instability occurred when he was a little older. For his 10th birthday, his parents got him a songbird. It lived happily for a few months before one day, his mother came into Lucas’s room to see the boy sobbing and the bird’s neck snapped. It was filed as another accident but things seemed to spiral from there. Lucas was found standing in front of a burning bush, calmly watching the flames destroy the yard, and he started to lash out at his classmates and neighbors and there seemed to be a high number of missing pets. His mother, having witnessed far too many “accidents” was the first to point out that something wasn’t right with him. His father refused to believe it until the numerous complaints about Lucas forced him to see the truth.

Soon after, the family moved to London in hope that a change of environment would help him. The move didn’t really help him all that much; if anything, it made things worse. He only became rude to his parents and cruel to anyone else and he even ran away a handful of times. As a last resort, his parents put him into therapy and where told that he mostly likely had a case of juvenile conduct disorder. There really wasn’t much that could be done but it had appeared that he was getting better. In reality, he had only begun to control himself more. He was more subtle in his rule breaking and he became noticeably less openly aggressive. His parents seemed to think he was cured and when he received his letter from Hogwarts a little before his 12th birthday, they believed that it was safe for him to attend.

After arriving at Hogwarts, he was sorted into Slytherin. During the course of his first year, he broke many minor rules and brought a handful of his year mates to tears but, for the most part, he managed to deceive people into believing that he was a good, if not misunderstood, little boy. He was an average student and his best subjects were easily wand works, especially jinxes. Other than this, there isn’t much worth noting from his first year.

Sample Journal Entry: Summer is coming to a close, which means that I’ll be able to return to school in few weeks. Mum doesn’t think it’s safe for me to return but she didn’t put up too much of a fight. I think she just doesn’t want me around the house. She doesn’t love me like Daddy does. He says I must continue with my education but he’ll miss me horribly when I’m at school. I won’t miss him at all. He’s taking me on a special trip to Spain just before I go back though, just the two of us. He thinks that since I’m almost 13, I should see the world. I just want to see a bull fight. Billy Davenport told me they kill it and I want to see that. Daddy says I’m too young though to witness such things. I’ll get him to see things may way though; I always do. Daddy loves me so I have control over him.
